CarraLyzer : How it works ??

Set up your preferences in the preference pane :

- Customize your copy by writing your own server address
- Choose your favourite language
- Choose your log import session type
- Customize the general behavior of windows ... (Thx to Hoozone)
- Switch beetween Carracho and KDX proceeds (still in construction)

Choose your favourite language

Amongst the 7 or 8 available (depending on the release)

Import your log via the one-button console

An advanced import log is also available (via the "Advanced Console") for those who want to make it step by step.
This automatic mode is usually perfect for your daily refresh

If you checked the option "Calculate duration during refreshing" in the preference panel, this operation can be quite long (2 minutes/MegaByte imported, depending on your computer)

Here you are !! Durations are shaped

Look at the three columns on the right hand side !! Here are all the daily durations !! Finally you CAN have a realistic view of your server's activity, as the CarraLyzer tells you what the users did, and, most of all, how long they did it !! ((:

See which files have been transferred, in both ways

You can sort the list by any category you want. More over, you can know how many sessions were required to completely transfer a file (by counting the number of lines while the list is sorted by filename, for instance)

Monitor the server's errors

This feature is my favourite one ((:

Here you can see the incorrect logins, etc... All the server errors are reported here

Administrators' actions

You can see here who performed administration-specific tasks on your server, such as folders management, account editions, etc... Quite good to know, isn't it ??

Private Messages

You can check out here who sent messages to whom. But you cannot see the content of the message ((:

Summary of Broadcasted messages

It can eventually be usefull ...

Performed File Searches

See who's been looking for what on your server. Useful to check out the most wanted files

Log Viewer

Browse your Log. It's obviously sortable by any topic you want. More over the blue arrows on the right hand side lets you display a single record, as below

Single Record edition

You may want to print a single record, displayed in a neat table. You access this layout via the blue arrows of the log viewer. Of course you can still browse you log with the black arrows next to the table. This layout will be usefull when an automatic web publishing of those results is implemented
